Commission rates

As a freelance composer, Walken Schweigert has scored music for full length and short films, theatre productions, and circus and dance performances. He has been the recipient of awards from the American Composers’ Forum and the Jerome Foundation for his composition work. Using primarily string instruments and voice, Schweigert’s scores are haunting and world building. Rates are adjustable, but generally range from $500-$75,000 depending on the scope of the projects.

Walken Schweigert is an accomplished musician and actor, both onstage and in front of the camera. With actor training from the Perpich Center for Arts Education (Theatre Major, ‘06), the Dell’ Arte International School for Physical Theatre, (Professional Training Program, class of ‘09) and from the internationally-renowned Double Edge Theatre in Ashfield, MA Walken is able to tackle any role with gusto. The instruments he plays are violin, hurdy gurdy, musical saw, guitar, voice, ukulele, and accordion. Rates are adjustable, generally range from $20-150/hr.

Whether it is libretto, script, or poetry, Walken Schweigert delves into the depths to create words that envision worlds and bring them to life. As a song lyricist and librettist, he has extensive experience setting words to music, and crafting narratives that bring characters to life. Rates are adjustable, $200-$20,000 for poems, scripts and librettos.
